Voter and Civic Education Resources

The FEO is committed to equipping all Fijians with the knowledge and confidence to participate meaningfully in the electoral process. Through our voter and civic education initiatives, we provide clear, accessible, and non-partisan information about elections, voting procedures, and the rights and responsibilities of citizens in a democracy. Our goal is to empower every eligible voter to make informed decisions and to strengthen public trust in the integrity of elections. This section features a wide range of educational resources, including brochures, videos, toolkits, and outreach programmes tailored for various communities, including youth, women, persons with disabilities, and first-time voters. Whether you’re exploring how elections work, seeking materials for your classroom or community group, or looking to understand your role as a voter, the FEO’s voter and civic education content is here to support you every step of the way.

Introduction To Election In Schools

A strong democracy depends on informed and active citizens who engage constructively in their communities. This module introduces the fundamental rights and responsibilities of individuals in a democratic society, emphasizing the critical role that elections play in ensuring accountability, representation, and good governance.

School Election Toolkit

The School Election Toolkit (SET) Program offers an interactive and engaging way for students to learn about voting as a fundamental democratic right and a powerful decision-making tool. By simulating real election processes in school settings, the program empowers students to participate actively in civic life—whether through voting, standing as candidates, assisting with election operations, or engaging in informed debate. SET helps nurture a culture of participation from a young age, reducing voter apathy and fostering lifelong civic responsibility.
